Our community beach in Norwalk Connecticut was small, but much used, not just for swimming in the summer months, but also for impromptu picnics, sunset watching, or as the title infers, simply “Reflecting” within ones soul.
This picnic table was one often frequented alone or with friends. Serious conversations, or light breezy chatter held secrets within it’s airy confines. At least, it held a few of mine.
A photo of this area was given to me by a close friend within the last 10 years. I chose to make it into a painting because it’s visual evoked such intense memories.
This is obviously late fall or early winter. The small birch tree has lost all but a few scraggly leaves. The sun has just set behind the marsh, leaving an afterglow on the corner of the picnic table.
Tina, thanks for jump stating some great memories. Remember the time I gave you a lift back to the boat dock from Sprite Island. The water was so low, I had to jump out and push my boat till it got deeper.
Hi Scott! My friend and web designer, Gavin, just updated my site. I am seeing this post for the first time. Yes I remember the boat ride you gave me back home. Our reunion is next June (2024) Will you go?
