My boyfriend’s nephews came to our home to use the pool. They were vying for position on the airmattress water float.
I loved the color, contrast, shapes of the kids. There arms and legs were splayed every which way in their effort to take command of the float. Albert’s niece was loosely hanging on the pool ladder across the other side of the pool.
Those hot summer days by the pool were the epitome of pure summer fun. After deflecting the heat of the day in the pool, the next usual step was a barbecue and music. This painting evokes the best of summer memories for me.
