This is a small painting representing our local California beaches. My original intent was to paint it for my friend as her birthday present. I told her the title of it is: SoCal Beach. (Short for Southern California) She sent me a text to my phone that said, “I LOVE the So-Called Beach painting”. The auto correct on her phone had changed “SoCal” to “So Called.” I thought that was so funny, I decided to keep the name.

This would be a typical, mostly sunny day at our beautiful location in San Diego. A Boogy boarder and 2 distant surfers enjoy the almost perfectly shaped waves.
