This painting is of the community dock in the neighborhood where I lived in CT. The tide is low. A storm system is just beginning to move in. I’ve even tried to paint the holes in the mud where the Fiddler Crabs live, though they are hard to see here. 

The clouds were taken from a photograph of our recent trip to San Felipe. The actual Marsh is from 2 different photos, and the boats at dock are as they appear in another photo. I greatly embellished color, texture and “mood”.
