This is probably the most famous Cypress tree in the world. It is located in Carmel, or near Carmel on the 17 Mile Drive near Pebble Beach.

I’ve been up the stretch of infamous winding highway that leads through Big Sur, Hearst Castle and Monterey Bay. That drive must be one of the most beautiful (and possibly most treacherous) in the world. It leads to this glorious region in Carmel with the lone Cypress.
